Ongjin County Ordinance on Development of Offshore Wind Power Complexes

The County Mayor of Ongjin County shall formulate and implement a comprehensive offshore wind management plan every 5 years and shall establish and operate the Ongjin County Offshore Wind Power Generation Public-Private Consultative Body of not more than 25 members, chaired by the Deputy County Mayor. For offshore wind power generation businesses of 3 MW or more, the County Mayor shall prepare specific measures for resident participation (equity, shares, bonds) and shall endeavor to ensure that the resulting revenue evenly benefits local residents.

The purpose of this Ordinance is to prescribe matters necessary for offshore wind power generation in order to systematically develop offshore wind energy in accordance with international climate change measures and to prevent the disorderly development of public waters, which are a public resource of Ongjin County.
