Hanbando-1 is the first of three adjacent phases in the Ongjin waters west of Incheon. The three phases received their electricity business licenses on the same day and share one grid connection offer from KEPCO. The water is shallow and the seabed is sand, which suits monopile foundations. The Environmental Impact Assessment is at the draft stage; Ongjin County and Yeonsu District announced the public hearing in late August 2026. The expected commercial operation date is a model estimate that assumes a first-half 2028 auction, not an announced schedule.

public head

The three Hanbando phases were permitted together, share the KEPCO grid connection offer of 2026-09-14, and sit side by side in the same waters, so each phase loses output to the wakes of the others. Engine ARA therefore analyses them twice: once as three individual projects, and once as a group with a joint layout and a shared export route. The individual figures on this page already include the neighbours' wakes. The group analysis adds what only appears when the three are planned as one.
