Chungcheongnam-do Ordinance on Support for Offshore Wind Industry Activation

The Governor of Chungcheongnam-do shall implement policies necessary to revitalize the offshore wind power industry and shall identify optimal sites for offshore wind complexes after collecting the opinions of the heads of Sis/Guns. Where a project site extends over the sea areas of two or more Sis/Guns, the Governor shall establish a Consultative Body of not more than 13 members, chaired by the Administrative Vice Governor.

The purpose of this Ordinance is to build an offshore wind power industry ecosystem in Chungcheongnam-do and to contribute to the revitalization of the local economy, including job creation through the revitalization of related industries, by prescribing matters necessary for the creation of offshore wind complexes to produce environmentally friendly renewable energy sources.
