Goheung County Ordinance on Support for Offshore Wind Private Cooperation Bodies

The County Mayor of Goheung County shall support the autonomous and transparent operation of private cooperation bodies, composed mainly of stakeholders such as fishermen, fishers' organizations and representatives of residents. The County Mayor may entrust related affairs to a public institution and may provide, within the budget, expenses such as allowances and travel expenses. The entrusted public institution shall regularly report budget execution to the County Mayor.

The purpose of this Ordinance is to support the smooth progress of offshore wind public-private consultative bodies under the Special Act on the Promotion of Offshore Wind Power Deployment and the Development of Related Industries, and to contribute to the coexistence of offshore wind development and the fisheries industry and to regional development through the establishment of a fishermen cooperation system under the Local Autonomy Act.
