Jindo County Ordinance on the Establishment of Offshore Wind Energy Generation Facilities and Community Participation

The County Mayor of Jindo County shall formulate and implement a comprehensive management plan for offshore wind energy every 5 years and shall endeavor to prevent fishery damage and to protect fishers, etc. The County Mayor shall establish the Jindo County Offshore Wind Power Generation Public-Private Consultative Body of 21 members, comprising 5 government members, 10 private members, and 6 public interest members, chaired by the Deputy County Mayor.

The purpose of this Ordinance is to contribute to the revitalization of the new and renewable energy industry and the enhancement of residents' welfare by prescribing matters for promoting offshore wind energy electricity generation businesses in the sea areas of Jindo County in an environmentally friendly and systematic manner.
