Muan County Ordinance on Systematic Development of Offshore Wind Energy and Related Matters

The Mayor of Muan County shall formulate and implement a comprehensive management plan for offshore wind power every 5 years and shall establish the Muan County Offshore Wind Power Generation Public-Private Consultative Body of not more than 20 members, chaired by the Deputy County Mayor. If an electricity generation business entity fails to meet the evaluation criteria, authorizations and permissions for installing a wind measurement device may be withheld.

The purpose of this Ordinance is to promote the new and renewable energy industry and contribute to the enhancement of the welfare of County residents by systematically developing offshore wind power in accordance with international climate change countermeasures and preventing disorderly development of public waters, which are public resources of Muan County.
