Sinan County Ordinance on Reasonable Support for Fishing Vessels and Fishery Workers for the Promotion of Offshore Wind Energy

The Mayor of Sinan County may pay a reasonable support payment where a vessel fisher, expected to suffer damage from the reduction of fishing areas, carries out the reduction of his or her vessel before the development of offshore wind power. The support payment shall not exceed 20 million won per fishing vessel. The electricity generation business entity shall pay a reasonable support fund contribution to Sinan County.

The purpose of this Ordinance is to secure residents' acceptance of offshore wind power and contribute to the stabilization of the livelihoods of fishers by prescribing matters concerning support where fishers who are expected to suffer damage due to the reduction of fishing areas, etc. in connection with the promotion of public-led offshore wind power projects carry out the reduction of fishing vessels before the development of offshore wind power.
