Sinan County Ordinance on Support for the Use of Fishing Ports and Adjacent Facilities for the Promotion of Offshore Wind Energy

The County Mayor of Sinan County shall establish and operate the Sinan County Fisheries Win-Win Fund through fisheries win-win agreements with offshore wind power business entities, with a target amount of 3 billion won and a duration until Dec. 31, 2029. An offshore wind power business entity shall use protective facilities it installs in fishery harbor zones, such as breakwaters, jointly with fishers and other offshore wind power business entities.

The purpose of this Ordinance is to establish the Sinan County Fisheries Win-Win Fund for the shared use of fishery facilities and win-win cooperation with fisheries, so that the installation of facilities in fishery harbor zones resulting from the promotion of offshore wind power does not interfere with fishing activities, and to prescribe matters necessary for managing and operating the Fund comprehensively and systematically.
